Hi, Milady! Meet Mila, the owner, and founder of Mila Manila.

Mila had always been passionate about education, and her love for learning led her to become a college instructor at a state university in Manila. For over six years, she dedicated herself to teaching various subjects, including marketing, management, and tourism/hospitality. Armed with her master's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Mila was determined to further her career and become a licensed teacher through the Certificate in Teaching Program at the Philippine Normal University.

Driven by her thirst for knowledge, Mila also pursued a Certification in Introduction to E-Commerce from the University of the Philippines-Open University and graduated with high distinction. She understood the growing importance of digital platforms and e-commerce in the modern world and sought to expand her skill set accordingly.

However, Mila's journey didn't stop at academia. In 2017, fate led her to discover rattan bags, and she instantly fell in love with their classic and unique designs. Little did she know that this encounter would ignite her entrepreneurial spirit. Starting a business seemed impossible as a "probinsyana" from a low-income family. With a leap of faith, she ventured into the online business world, using a meager capital of ten thousand pesos from her teaching salary.

With the help of her academic background, Mila's teaching career provided her with valuable skills in marketing, management, and supply chain. Along her journey, she met numerous people who supported her dream, including students who helped create her business website. Inspired by her love for eco-friendly products, Mila envisioned it to be a one-stop destination for customers seeking a wide range of sustainable and stylish items for men and women. Through this venture, Mila aimed to support Asian artisans by providing them with a stable source of income and recognition for their exquisite craftsmanship.
